Cece ran her fingers over the photos. “I’m sorry…I can’t…see…” She handed the pictures back to him. “If I could help you, I would… But…” She stopped. "I can't. Sorry, mister."

The man stared at her and blinked twice. He suddenly put away the sword, turned around, and made way for the hole in the wall where the door once stood. Walking out, something caught his foot. He quickly thought to himself
" A trap?!?!"
" Is she one of them!?!?"
"Shes going to kill me!"
He fell too the floor, face first with a thud. He looked back, and saw that it was the fallen door that tripped him. He quickly got up and walked out as if nothing happened. No "Thank you" or " I'm sorry for the door" would ever escape from his mouth. He walked closer and closer toward the city .

Lyda stepped outside to start her errands, oblivious to the people and things surrounding her.
She did notice a shop or two. One in particular had the doors blown out as if a bad storm had hit the night before. She was tempted to check on the store owner, for she had heard that the shop was left to a young blind girl. However, she felt no need for conversation at the moment, and with that, she continued on her way.
You do realize that the girl has been following you for quite some time, right?

Smothered in darkness, Cece felt the floor for shattered glass. She placed each piece into a rag, careful not to cut herself. She felt the warmth of the breaking sun on her face. I wish I could see it, she thought. Before that moment, she never questioned why it was she who was blind. Tears welled up in her eyes and streamed down her pale cheeks. Then a shadow was cast over her face, blocking her warmth. A man came through the open doorway and knelt in front of her.

“Cece,” the man spoke soothingly, “what has happened to your shoppe?” She wiped the tears from her eyes.

“Somebody came and tried to show me pitures,” she whispered, frightened the daunting man would hear her, though he was long gone.

“Pictures of what, Cece?” he asked her.

“Of…of…people…” she almost sobbed.

“Open your mouth.” She shook her head. “Come, now. Open your mouth.” She sighed nervously and obeyed him. He popped in another smooth caramel. A good twenty seconds into the candy, the girl began to relax. “Now listen to me, Cece. I am going to find this man and speak with him. Inquire what he wants. Then I will be back to help you put up your door. All right?” the man promised her. She nodded. The man left the shoppe, returning the sunlight and a modest hope to the young girl.

Arun tied a black string around his finger.

(Sorry to do this so late in the roleplay, but I edited Arun's character. It doesn't affect his personality, abilities, or clothed appearance, but I tweaked him to fit his character and a better picture I found.)

Lyda had stopped not too along from the shoppe, and as she stood for a moment, she recognized the presence of a specific other.
She turned around to catch a glimpse of him.
Just keep walking. Ignore the creepy man.
Lyda took a step or two towards him before stopping to decide whether or not to disturb Arun.
He continued walking at a slow pace.

It was early morning and the house was dead silent. It was as if the apocalypse had come and gone and there was no one left to make a sound. Sunlight streamed in through the tall window of the guest room, onto the form of Lolita. Her silvery hair was like a spiderweb caught in the light. Her gold eyes opened slowly and mechanically. She rose with a start, until the gears started spinning and she remembered where she was. The clean white sheets on the bed of the room were quite undisturbed. Despite the fact that Gannon had probably spent a good deal of time replacing the sheets, washing them, and remaking the bed, Lolita had chosen to drag the coffin upstairs instead. It was the only familiar thing to her in the house. Though her reputation would surely be sullied if society knew that she had spent the night at a strange gentleman's house without a chaperone, there was not much she could do. She climbed out of the coffin and replaced her pointed boots and stockings. She went to get her corset and remembered that she no longer had her mother to lace it up. Sadness overtook her at this realization, and she opted to lace it herself. Lacing it up backwards would certainly be more proper than simply going without it. She left the elegant lace bonnet on the nightstand and proceeded downstairs. Once downstairs she wandered the rooms a bit until she came to the kitchen. There were a great many oddities. 'This Arun must be a collector of sorts.' She thought. Though seeing the strange objects was nothing new. Mother's workshop had been full of strange mechanical inventions. She considered these oddities to be her siblings and conversed with them often, even if they could do little more than listen. Though she was unused to having to serve herself, she proceeded anyway. Tea was not just a pastime, but a necessity. A small portion of her inner machinery ran on the steam power of tea. If she didn't have it at least once a day she would start to 'malfunction.' She always wondered why mother would give her such a weakness. Mother had said she would understand when the time came. Lolita searched the kitchen until she found a clean teapot and a suitable tea cup. She filled the teapot with water and turned the dial on the stove to high. She then sat down at the table and stared off into space. She remembered the night she was put to sleep. Mother had given her a final set of instructions before she was to eliminate her targets. Her crossbow was strapped to her back and her fans where hanging within easy reach. She knew she would receive the photos and addresses of her marks before she was to set off. Just as mother had pulled the envelope with that information out of a desk drawer the door was kicked open with impressive force. A group of people, difficult to make out in the dim gas lamp lighting stood there. They would've been easy to eliminate if they had not been standing there with several of her mother's most precious inventions, namely weapons that were very advanced. Weapons that could kill even her. One person stepped forward, their leader obviously. He had dragged mother aside and they spoke in harsh whispers. Mother then approached her with a very strange expression on her face. "Loli, dear. There's been a change in plans. I am going with these people, we have a few matters to sort out. I'm putting the address for your Aunt's house in this drawer." she took the envelope of targets and placed it in the drawer, never breaking eye contact. Every word was in code that only they understood. Then the leader stepped forward and dragged her mother towards the door, as other hands reached to restrain her. She tried to break free, and some strange forced stopped her. She heard a clicking and everything started to fade to black. She heard her mother's shrill scream. It took a few seconds for her to realize it was the teapot whistling. She got up and poured her tea, still reminiscing. She had to get that envelope back, maybe she could find it in time to save her mother. It had only been, what, a day or two since then?
(Razz This post turned out a little longer than expecting. I guess this makes up for the short posts I would've posted if I'd kept up with the RP.)

Arun met eyes with Lyda. He did not tip is hat, nor did he greet her in his usual formalities. Instead, he approached her wordlessly until he was but two feet from her. “Something is askew.” He scoped the surrounding area. “Come with me, and be on your guard.” He strode into a narrow alleyway, expecting her to follow him.

Lyda followed him without a second thought.
He's angry and leading you away. The perfect time to put your complete trust in him.
Lyda glared.
Let's just say. He attacks you, or for some food for thought, another person attacks you. Can you even initiate or control your ability?
Lyda gave a slight scoff, trying very badly to be inconspicuous.
I'll take that as a "no".
She sighed in agreement.

“As of…” Arun pulled out his pocket watch, “6:43 this morning, I have kidnapped you.” He glanced around every corner before he turned them. “Please refrain from screeching or fleeing, I do not have time for games.” He seized her arm, lightly but forcefully, steering her through the shaded streets.

Oh, great. Now, he's kidnapped you.
Lyda looked at Arun oddly, but she stayed limp and let him pull her with ease.
So, you're not going to do a single thing about him kidnapping you? Why, oh, why'd I have to be murdered by an idiot?
Lyda ignored all the comments.

Arun kept them concealed from the passersby as he escorted Lyda through the back streets. He turned into a tapering passage between two dismal buildings, skimming barely to the open exit. He slid sideways through the tight outlet into a homely asphalt courtyard. At the far end, a dreary chapel had taken root, to which Arun had brought Lyda. He guided her to the heavy wooden doors, letting her enter before him.

The chapel’s interior was illuminating with a hundred golden candles. Red and yellow stained glass windows threw fragments of pigmented light across the pews and altar; this place was no more a chapel as it was a sanctuary.

Arun genuflected and sat two pews from the alter, pulling Lyda beside him. Across the aisle, a priest blessed confessing civilians, chanting words inaudible to Arun and Lyda. “Listen,” Arun discretely whispered into her ear, “if this is blown out of proportion, inform the police you had no choice but to comply with my demands. You do not understand why I brought you here, nor did you quarrel. I put a gun to your side. You cannot recollect my face; it was too shadowed by my hat.” He paused as the priest walked past. “And most importantly, do not depart from here except for three reasons: Firstly, I return for you. Secondly, the police find you. Thirdly, if whoever is out there dares disturb the House of God. There is an exit behind the alter used by the priests. Capiche?” He pulled a red string from his pocket and tied it around her finger.

Hmm. You're lucky. Now, you have a second string.
Lyda gazed at the thread. The stained glass left speckles of red across her face, and a pure silver crucifix hung in the center of the glass, beckoning in somberness.

The chapel was dimly lit, and music could be heard whispering into her ear. There was an eerie stillness past the silent mumble of the priests and confessors.
Lyda looked back to Arun as she whispered,"I understand."

Ary had followed the couple past the two buildings and into the courtyard. She stopped the pursuit as they entered the church. She tip toed her way to the front steps of the building and sat down, expecting her new friend to come out.

Dam walked with almost a skip, attempting to sing " Do-do-do-do". He had already "asked" two more houses of the photos. Not one person was of any use. He walked toward another house. A chilly feeling ran from the top of his neck down his body. Dam approached the door and prepared himself for a kick. "KYAH!" he yelled. A loud thud radiated. He stood in the kicking position for nearly two seconds and blinked twice. Nothing happened to the door. Pain rushed through his leg. He skipped and held the right leg. "DAMMIT!" he yelled. Dam stopped skipping and prepared the other leg for a kick. The same exact thing happened only this time he yelled "DAMMIT!" even louder. After the pain stopped flowing, an idea over came him. " When he opens the door I will get the beat on him!" he thought. Fulfilled with this idea he stood and waited.

As Arun advanced towards his house, he noticed a colossal figure loitering by his front door. Arun observed the man with comical curiosity for about seven minutes and decided to converse with him. “Hm. I wonder if he will respond to the door,” Arun said behind the man’s shoulder. “Perhaps he isn’t present.”

"GYAH!" Dam was frightened by the sudden sound of voice. He stammered forward and turned around to see the source of the voice. A weird man was standing in front of Dam, with half a grin and on his face. Dam observed this man, blinked twice and laughed.

Arun laughed with the man; only when he had finished did Arun say, "'Judge a tree from its fruit, not from its leaves.'" He smirked and rested against the wall panels, drawing his hat further over his eyes. “My name is Thanos. I am currently studying philosophy at the university… Forgive my tendency to quote various words of wisdom. What is your name? I do hope we will become better acquainted in the future. You seem a remarkable individual to be on familiar terms with.” He tapped his umbrella on the floorboards. “Would you care to dine with me this afternoon? I simply cannot pass the opportunity to acquire a new friend. My parents are relentlessly nagging me to ‘get out there and live a little.’ Perhaps I have been too absorbed in my studies…”

Dam was left wide eyed. Unsure of how to respond to this man's introduction. Then a shock of realization hit him. Still staring at Arun, Dam reached into his pocket and pulled out the photos. With a slight grin he handed them to "Thanos". He calmly said " Have you seen any of these of these people?". He slowly reached for his gun with his left hand and his sword with his right.

Arun smirked as something in his umbrella clicked. “Killing me would be the greatest mistake of your life.” He let the pictures drop to the ground. “By destroying me, you destroy the knowledge of how to permanently rid of the demigods. At this very instant, more are being created. I happen to be part of a minority that obtains such an…exclusive piece of information. Are you sure you want to jeopardize losing this knowledge?” He glared. “And guns do not affect me, unlike you.” He aimed the umbrella at Dam’s chest.

A stroke of seriousness covered Dam's face. He completely ignored Arun's ranting. Dam glared into the eyes of his enemy. He held the gun stretched out past Arun's umbrella while the sword was kept near his body. He stood in a side ways position. "CRACK" He fired the gun regardless if it had an effect or not. The recoil twisted his left wrist and the gun dropped. He brought back his left arm in pain and yelled "DAMIT!"
